The All India IEEE Computer Society Students and Young Professionals Congress is an annual flagship
conference hosted by the IEEE Computer Society. It is a gathering of all its members - both professional
and students and the various chapters affiliated to the IEEE Computer Society throughout the nation. The
goal of the congress is to create awareness about recent advancements made in Computing and associated
fields such as Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Data Science & Analysis, Cyber Security and
Reputed speakers from academia and the industry provide insights into the aforementioned domains using their work and experience. In collaboration with them, the congress creates a prolific environment for its members to share the best practices in technology, and also spread awareness about the various benefits provided by the IEEE Computer Society such as Scholarships, Awards Program, Technical Projects, The Digital Library and so on.
The congress also serves another important purpose, to connect the students and the young professionals in the country with distinguished people from academia, the industry and also with members from other sections. Yes, you heard it right! We wonder about how machines give us accurate and desired results, or how our speech is recognized or how our fingerprints are identified. Thanks to Pattern Recognition; which makes machines learn algorithms. To recognize the patterns, the Computer Vision plays an important role. Computer vision is an interdisciplinary scientic field that deals with how computers can be made to gain high-level understanding from digital images or videos. From the perspective of engineering, it seeks to automate tasks that the human visual system can do.Pattern recognition is the automated recognition of patterns and regularities in data.Pattern recognition is closely related to artificial intelligence and machine learning, together with applications such as data mining and knowledge discovery in databases, and is often used interchangeably with these terms.

IEEE Gujarat Section (registered u/s 80G) comes under Asia-Pacific Region, the Region 10 of IEEE. The Gujarat Section, a sub section of Bombay Section, was upgraded to full fledged section on 15th August 1990. In 2004 Gujarat Section was adjudged the “Outstanding Small Section of Region 10”. The section has emphasis on quality programmes and such programmes are regular feature for professional development of its members. The section’s participative philosophy allows students to make programmes as per their own need. Section encourages students and has instituted awards for student members. Under IEEE India Council, IEEE Gujarat Section has contributed significantly by coordinating and organizing various IEEE activities. Gujarat Section has always been pioneer in organizing programs for professionals and student members. The annual event of Gujarat Section ‘Sampark’ gives a platform to student members to design IEEE events of the year as per their own need and requirement. This helps IEEE student members of the Section to be their own leader. ‘Sampark’ had also been featured in one of the issue of ‘The Institute’ magazine.
IEEE A. D. Patel Institute of Technology Student branch, established under IEEE Gujarat Section is dedicated for professional development of students with advanced technical support from IEEE. The team of A. D. Patel Institute of Technology Student branch has organized numerous workshops, seminars and technical competitions under the banner of IEEE and ADIT for enhancing knowledge and technical abilities of students. The motto of IEEE ADIT Student branch has been “Initiating for the involvement of stimulating technology to interact with the betterment of human.” There are total 8 IEEE Chapters established containing 6 IEEE Societies at IEEE ADIT SB. Last year the student branch received 296% growth in the student memberships. The student branch has contributed well by coordinating various IEEE events. ADIT hosted Sampark’19 – Annual event of Gujarat Section. Along with various IEEE events throughout the year, ADIT SB successfully organized INSPIRO’18 – a Regional event. Various non-technical activities carried out by branch helps in personality development and improvement in communication skills.
Established in 2000 in affliliation with Gujarat Technological University, A. D. Patel Institute of Technology is a degree engineering college under the management of Charutar Vidhya Mandal(CVM). ADIT is the first technical Institute of India to be ISO 9001: 2015 certified. Recently, Electrical Engineering, Food Processing Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology of this institute are accredited by NBA for 3 years till 2022 Spread across 40-acre area , the college provides the best environment. Not only does it provide eco-friendly environment but imparts the best infastructure. The college offers 8 UG program in the field of Engineering.

I remember a quote "The journey of thousand miles begins with one step" which relates with my life because have made my first step by taking part in AICSSYC'18. It was not only a place to know about 3D printing technology but also it is the place where I came across the most effective team work, enthusiastic and inspiring volunteers.
AICSSYC 18 was no doubt, an enriching and educative experience for me. The fact that people from academia and industry came together under one roof to brainstorm was incredible. I would like to place on record my appreciation for Mr Aravindhan for patiently heeding to our grievances and seamlessly managing the event.
Attending the Congress and volunteering in the documentation team provided me with an unforgettable experience. Not just the 3 days of listening to the industry experts talk about the latest trends and 3D printing, Networking with them and the other delegates was memorable experience.
